Choose a K-Pop group OR a competition show (I-Land, Boys Planet, Produce 111, BDU, Show Me the Money, Chuang Asia) that you and your fellow group mates are interested in and create a presentation that includes a selection of the following topics:
You don’t need to hit on all of these; choose the elements that make most sense for your chosen group.
Your presentation should be approximately 15 minutes long & should include visual aids such as images and videos. Please make the media/slide components of your presentation visually compelling; do not use too much text or tiny font. Feel free to incorporate interactive elements (that is, to invite participation from your classmates). Be prepared to answer questions from your classmates about the group you chose, or even pose some for them!
Your presentation should be a group effort, which you work on collectively (rather than divvying at the start up sections to work on completely separately). In addition to the presentation, you individually will write up a 500 word reflection in which you consider the process and experience of preparing for and giving this presentation.
Your presentation should be well researched. This means both diving deep into the group or competition series, watching significant amounts of primary source, and also doing secondary research of relevant academic literature. Do include a final bibliography in which you include all sources that use drew from, be they primary (that is, non academic fandom websites etc.) or secondary (academic essays, chapters, books). Please use Chicago Author-Date citation formatting.
