Recommended short read for this week: “Why I love Alice.” Consider your own answer: what drew you to this class and/or to Alice in Wonderland as a figure? Or if not Alice, is there another book or media figure who has played a similar role for you?

Required Books & Course Materials
Please obtain copies of the two required books for our seminar (available at the College Bookstore, or online in hard copy or ebook, new or used — whatever you prefer!):
A Note on Access: I provide online links/PDFs on Canvas for our first week's readings so everyone has immediate access while books are arriving. All other weekly readings and media throughout the semester are provided free via Canvas and syllabus links. If obtaining either book poses any financial hurdle or delay, please let me know — I can place copies on library course reserve and help connect you with digital access.
